Animals

Transport of animals in the cabin is prohibited. Animals can only be transported in containers in a heated area in the aircraft. Passengers are responsible for the rental or purchase of containers.

Transport boxes (containers) can be purchased at the Dnata counter.

Passengers are responsible for obtaining the necessary documents/certificates and health certificates.

Please get the information in time about immigration rules of animals on www.bvet.admin.ch/einfuhr/ . The immigration of dogs and cats from rabies countries (the correspondent list can be found on the homepage) is only allowed with the permission of the Swiss Federal Veterinary Office (SFVO). Without this permission the animals are refused at Swiss customs and have to be brought back to their country of origin.

The pet is weighed together with the container and your baggage at check-in; excess baggage is charged at the regular excess baggage rate. The costs for transport are calculated as follows:
