Food / Drinking on Board / Alcohol

Food

The cabin pressure on board an aircraft corresponds approximately to the air pressure at 2000 meters above sea level. Especially after eating, our bodies react with flatulence to the change in pressure during a flight.

Advice: Avoid eating heavy foods before your flight.

Drinking on Board

The air-conditioning on board causes the body to lose liquid, making you feel thirsty. Please remember that alcohol on board has a greater impact on the human body than on the ground. We therefore recommend that you balance the loss of fluids by drinking mineral water or fruit juices.

Advice: The best form of liquid is non-carbonated water, e.g. Evian, to avoid the risk of a bloated stomach.

Alcohol

The captain can deny you entry into the aircraft if you arrive drunk at the check-in. Your ticket can be rejected, and the costs will not be reimbursed. You would also bear the responsibility and costs for your outward bound or return journey.

For safety reasons, self-brought alcoholic beverages cannot be consumed on board. This also applies to beverages purchased at the duty free.
