Edelweiss Air wins the Gold Travel Star award in 2009 for the ninth time in succession, ahead of Swiss and Lufthansa on short and medium-haul routes. On long-haul routes, the airline ranks third behind Emirates and Singapore Airlines.

Edelweiss Air has been voted into 1st place in the category medium-haul flights and 3rd place for long-haul flights in the Airline of the Year 2009 survey. Its sister company SWISS also achieved two podium rankings.
